Description
The United Nations Human rights Council appoints a Special Rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief (FoRB) to conduct independent students on the existing and emerging obstacles to the human right to FoRB. In this document, we explore experts from 30 years of Special Rapporteur investigations and recommendations. We ask, what patterns emerge when examining the UN Rapporteurs’ report? Who is most affected by regulations on the freedom to worship, places of worship, the use of religious symbols, and observance of religious holidays and days of rest? Where in the world are these effects most prevalent and why?
